*literally ‘your footsteps’ but that sounded more clumsy
**literally ‘take in/catch on to’ but in context that sounded a little strange, so rewording and a little creative license stepped in!
***literally ‘as it sings like you’ but singing = carefree (or at least, that’s the impression i get) so i went for the more illustrative, less literal translation
****literally ‘become a smile’ but obviously that sounded weird, so tweaked it for the idea of bringing smiles rather than becoming smiles
